Note: This article applies to both the iPhone 8 as well as the iPhone 8 Plus.
The following steps will assist you in setting your e-mail account up on your iPhone 8:
1. From the Home screen tap Settings and select Accounts & Passwords.
2. Tap Add Account and select Other.
3. Tap Add Mail Account.
4. Enter the following information:
- Name: Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
- Email: Enter your e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for your account.
- Description: This is useful if you have more than on account set up on your phone (e.g.: My Work Account).
5. Tap Next.
6. Tap POP.
7. Enter the following information for the Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com).
- Username: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for this account.
8. Enter the following information for the Outgoing Mail Server:
- Host Name: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com).
- Username: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com)
- Password: Enter your password. This is the same password used for the incoming server.
9. Tap Save.
10. Once your settings have been verified, tap Save.
