This article covers both the iPad Air as well as the iPad Air 2.
The following steps will assist you in setting your e-mail account up on your iPad Air:
1. From the Home screen tap Settings –> Mail –> Add Account.
2. Tap Other.
3. Tap Add Mail Account.
4. Enter the following information:
- Name: Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
- Address: Enter your e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for your account.
- Description: This is useful if you have more than on account set up on your phone (e.g.: My Work Account).
5. Tap Next.
6. Tap POP.
7. Enter the following information for the Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com).
- User Name: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for this account.
8. Enter the following information for the Outgoing Mail Server:
- Host Name: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com).
- User Name: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com)
- Password: Enter your password. This is the same password used for the incoming server.
9. Tap Save.
