The following steps will assist you in setting your e-mail account up on a Samsung Galaxy S4:
1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon and then select Email.
2. Enter your e-mail address and password. Tap Manual Setup once you have done this.
3. You will be prompted to select the type of account you are using: Select IMAP.
4. You will now be asked for the Incoming server settings:
- User Name: this must be the full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com)
- Password: the password for this e-mail account.
- IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com)
- Security Type: None
- Port: 143
- Delete email from server: Never
- Tap Next to continue
5. You will now be asked for the Outgoing server settings:
- SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com)
- Security Type: None
- Port: 587
- Require sign-in: this option must be ticked.
- User Name: this must be the full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com)
- Password: the password for this e-mail account.
- Tap Next to continue.
6. On the Account options screen, you will be prompted to set the following:
- Email check frequency
- Notify me when email arrives
- Tap Next to continue.
- Give this account a name: this is an on-screen description of the account.
- Your name: this is the name that will appear next to your e-mail address when you send mail.
