The following steps will assist you in setting your e-mail account up on your iPhone:
1. From the Home screen tap Settings –> Mail, Contacts, Calendars –> Add Account.
2. Tap Other.
3. Tap Add Mail Account
4. Enter the following information:
- Name: Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
- Email: Enter your e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for your account.
- Description: This is useful if you have more than on account set up on your phone (e.g.: My Work Account).
5. Tap Next / Save.
6. Tap POP.
7. Enter the following information:
- Incoming Mail Server: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com) in the Host Name field.
- User Name: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Outgoing Mail Server: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com) in the Host Name field.
- User Name: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter your password. This is the same password used for the incoming server.
8. Tap Save.
Your iPad will check the incoming and outgoing settings. During this process you may see a message which states that a connection cannot be made using SSL. If you do, select the option to try without SSL.
Once this has been completed, your account will be active.
