The following steps will assist you in adding an e-mail account to your BlackBerry 9720 handset:
1. On the Home screen, select All.
2. Select the Setup icon.
3. From the Setup window, select Email Accounts.
4. When the Email Setup window opens, choose Other.
5. The Email Setup page will prompt you for the following details:
- Email address: Enter your e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for your e-mail account.
6. In the Account Setup Confirmation window, select Change Settings.
7. Under General Options, enter the following information:
- Email address: Enter your e-mail address (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Email account name: This is a description of the account which will be displayed on your phone.
- Your name: Enter your name.
- Signature: Enter the signature which you wish to display at the bottom of your messages.
- User name: Enter your entire email address using lowercase characters (e.g.: mail@example.com).
- Password: Enter the password for your e-mail account.
- Email Server: Enter mail.yourdomain (e.g.: mail.example.com).
- Email server type: Select POP3.
- Port: 110
- Use SSL: This should be disabled.
